Catherine Pichette

Catherine Pichette was born in Montreal, Quebec, where she grew up in a forward-thinking educational environment that shaped her vision of education. A graduate of École Supérieure Le Plateau, one of Montreal's most prestigious alternative elementary schools, she was introduced early on to project-based learning, child-centered learning, and an art-based approach. This formative experience nurtured her life's calling: to combine art and education to transform teaching practices.

With a Master's degree in Visual and Media Arts, Catherine has exhibited her work in renowned galleries, participated in art festivals, won scholarships and awards, and contributed to numerous publications. In addition, she teaches theatre, writes plays, and is currently working on her second novel as part of a writing collective.

After more than 10 years of teaching, Catherine turned to training in innovative pedagogies (Master's degree in pedagogy). She first applied her expertise in Quebec schools before immigrating to France in 2016. There, she founded HoplaBoum , one of the most innovative educational centers in France.

In France, Catherine is involved in numerous collaborations. She is a member of the Initiatives Laboratory at the Diocesan Directorate of Catholic Schools, a leading trainer in flexible classrooms at ISFEC-AFAREC, and a lecturer in the "Active Pedagogies" University Diploma program at the Catholic Institute of Paris. She also supervises master's students as a thesis advisor.

Merging her passions for art and education, Catherine Pichette embodies a dynamic and inclusive vision of pedagogy, serving an education where each child can grow at their own pace, stimulated by creative and innovative approaches.
